I was having a conversation the other day with some coworkers, and one of them came up with 3 rules to live by:

  1. Be awesome
  2. Don't be a dick
  3. It's not about you

Those rules struck me as profound because I can see how there's a balance that has to be found for all 3 to remain true.  What would the corporate world look like if people lived by those rules?

In my experience, applying agile methods improves delivery, strengthens relationships, and builds trust between business and IT. A big believer in the power of community-based learning, I grew the DFW Scrum user group significantly over the five years I served as an organizer.
