3 Not-So-Simple Rules for Life

I was having a conversation the other day with some coworkers, and one of them came up with 3 rules to live by:

  1. Be awesome
  2. Don't be a dick
  3. It's not about you

Those rules struck me as profound because I can see how there's a balance that has to be found for all 3 to remain true.  What would the corporate world look like if people lived by those rules?

Allison Pollard is a coach, consultant, and trainer who brings the power of relationship systems intelligence to go beyond tasks, roles, and frameworks to create energy for change. Allison is a prolific speaker at professional groups and international conferences, including Scrum Gatherings and the Agile Alliance Agile20xx conferences. Allison is co-owner of Helping Improve LLC.
