One Word Resolution for 2014

Happy New Year!  I've been reflecting on 2013, and it was an ok year.  I met some of my personal goals--but not all--and I'm still in the process of defining what I want in 2014.  Already 2014 looks like it will include more networking, more speaking opportunities, and doing more with the organizations I love.

Following the advice of Happiness Project author Gretchen Rubin, I'm choosing a one word theme for this year: astonishing.  This one word will will be my guide for the year.  I considered other words until I heard a song on SiriusXM that compelled me to choose it, and below is a video clip of the song.   

I want to amplify the goodness of 2013, learn more, laugh more, live more, give back more, and make a bigger impact in 2014.  Astonishing.  What is your theme for 2014?

Her education in computer science, mathematics, and English from Southern Methodist University helps her connect technical work with people management. As a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Allison focuses on improving product delivery and leadership culture. Her experience includes work in energy, retail, financial, real estate, and transportation industries. Allison regularly speaks at global conferences like Scrum Gatherings and Agile Alliance's Agile20xx. She promotes women's leadership as the program director for Women in Agile's Mentorship program. When she's not working, Allison likes to drink lattes and listen to Broadway musicals. Allison is a proud glasses wearer and co-owner of Middlegame Partners.
